Stiteler Cabin

Absolutely blurry; absolutely love

One last fishing attempt before we get packed up to leave

He did it! Baker caught his first fish! And, isn't real impressed.

We headed to the Stiteler Cabin (Chad and Gretchen's family cabin) over the 4th. We camped 1 night and had a wonderful time - can't wait until next year - hint, hint (if C&G are reading). We fished, played in the boat and of course swam. And, we will never forget that Baker caught his first fish at the Stiteler cabin and Makenzie enjoyed her first camping experience there. It's awesome to build these great memories.

Birch Bay Waterslides

Makenzie LOVED the slide

Just like her brother - loves the water

Aunt Gretchen and Baker

Grandma, Baker and Aunt Gretchen
When Gretchen is home she likes to take the kids to the waterslides (well, this is Makenzie's first time). With that being said, Gretchen wasn't too keen on taking 2 little ones to the slides alone (can't blame her). Since Shane was off work he joined his sister and Mom for a day at the waterslides. While I was stuck in a hot, stuffy bank, they got to play outside. I am still a little bitter and jealous! As you can tell, everyone had a fantastic time. It's a new summer tradition I think. Maybe next time I can go too :)

Good Morning

Lately, this is what Shane and I have been waking up with in our bed! And, let me remind you that we don't have a King size bed! Hope everyone has a great day!

Our 4 Year Old Horse

Baker had his 4 year check-up today! He is in perfect health and is a HORSE! Baker weighs 45.2 lbs and is 44.5 inches tall. The doctor said he is perfectly proportioned and is going to be VERY tall (he doesn't get that from my side of the family - except for Papa Sheldon). Baker will be a mini-me of Grandpa Jim.
Baker is in the 95th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height! Our big boy had 3 shots and didn't even flinch. He is such a big boy that we are so proud of!

Paparazzi

Poor Kenz, she was exhausted after her 9 month photo session. Here's the living proof that it's a tough job when you have paparazzi after you. Thanks Jen and Trev for a fun night!
***Jen was showing me how to use my new camera - these fabulous images are from her brilliant eye***

Whale Pool

The kids got a new pool and it was a big hit with the little spout!
Even Aunt Gretchen enjoyed it!

Snobby Golf

While in Whistler (yes, IN JUNE!) I wanted to put my birthday present to good use. Since I had 4 semi-private golf lessons with my sister in law, Gretchen, we decided to take advantage of our new found skills and play a round of golf in Whistler. We realized that we aren't good enough for Whistler so we headed to Pemberton. We went to an Academy course which makes every hole a par 3. Well, let me just tell you....these holes were not par 3 even for Tiger Woods! But, we still had a great time and did pretty darn well for some amateurs. I just wish I had someone that would continue to play with me. It's a little hard to play when my partner lives in Alaska.
