Leavenworth ~ Simply Beautiful

Shane turned the big 3 1! We decided it would be fun to spend the weekend in Leavenworth for Oktoberfest. The colors this time of year are amazing. Baker had a great time playing, Shane and Grandpa had a great time drinking beer and Grandma & I had a great time relaxing. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great birthday weekend :)

Pumpkin Patch ~ October 13, 2007

Baker and I went to Stoney Ridge Farm to pick out some pumpkins. Dad had to work, but we went with Baker's friends, Avery (green shirt) and Banning (red vest). The kids had such a great time. We took a hay ride to the pumpkin patch where the kids ran and ran and ran. Then, we walked thru the apple orchard. Baker ate 2 whole apples himself! He must like them since I ate so many when I was pregnant! After the apple orchard we went thru the corn maze, but we didn't adventure in too far because I was afraid to get lost in there with a 2 year old. The weather was perfect, the company of good friends was perfect and the pumpkins are perfect. Boy, it was sure an exhausting day, but it was well worth it!

Baker loved the baseball game. He was excited to have his own seat this year and of course he took his mit that Nana and Papa got him. He was so excited about the game that he sat thru a few innings before deciding that he and Daddy needed to walk around Safeco (thanks Babe)!

Can You Believe It???....Baker is Driving

Well, we FINALLY moved everything over from Mom and Dad's (we can hear the cheering from their house)! One of the key items still there was Baker's semi-truck that he had received from the neighbor at our old house (when he was 6 months old!) When Baker saw it in the shed his eyes lit up and he knew he had to drive it! Shane charged the battery and now he is off and cruisin. Baker does pretty well steering, he knows how to put it in reverse, he knows how to drive fast and he has mastered talking on the cell phone! I wonder who he gets that from?
