We celebrated Makenzie's birthday with a very small group of family and friends. It had been such a trying month but we needed to celebrate our little girl! She came out very well with a new kitchen and all the fixings, a new suitcase personalized with her name, games, clothes, a pedal free bike (not the trike in the picture above). It was a great day!

Baker started his first day of school right after the horrific experience of losing his Papa Sheldon. He was such a trooper. He loves school and loves the bus. He has been making a lot of friends and testing our patience at times due to new things he has learned. We are so proud of him and love that he loves school so much!

This was the day of my dad's celebration of life. Family was arriving from all over the country and we were still trying to get everything in order. Luckily the kids were in good spirits and kept us all smiling.
