Impromptu Skateboarding Lesson

My parents neighbor, Chris, came over to play with Baker. He skateboarded down from his house and decided to take Baker for a quick spin. Yes, I am fully aware that Baker doesn't have a helmet on. Luckily Chris is a pro and they only were in front of the house, but still that is no excuse. Thanks Chris for showing Baker how to ride but next time we better get the helmet out.

Point Defiance Zoo

Shane was out of town for the Buddy Werner Racing Championship so Baker and I decided to head south to see Nana and Papa. They took us to Point Defiance Zoo. Neither of us have been there and it was amazing. The weather was a bit overcast so there weren't too many people there. The zoo is really laid out well and we had a great time. Baker was running around the whole time and I was shocked that he still had energy when we were finished. But, as soon as we got to the car he decided it was nap time. Thanks Nana and Papa for a great weekend.

What is Baker looking at?

Some of you already know. Some of you have speculated. Some of you may wonder why I didn't go to Alaska. Well, here it is! It's official....Baker is going to be a big brother! We are expecting our new bundle of joy September 16th. That makes me 11 weeks along and exhausted. I have been very, very sick with this baby. In fact, I was so sick that I cancelled my trip to Alaska and was almost admitted to the hospital for severe dehydration. I convinced my doctor to give me a new prescription because my entire family was out of town (Shane, Baker, Mom and Dad in Alaska and Mom and Pops in Hawaii). So, I got on the medicine, was able to start drinking a bit and able to hydrate myself. I am starting to feel a bit better, but still not 100%. If Dr. Tu is as good as she was with Baker's delivery date, Shane and I will be spending our 8th wedding anniversary and my dad's 62nd birthday giving birth (kind of fitting isn't it)? Shane and I are going to wait and be surprised again. Sorry everyone, but we can always use updated yellow and green outfits :) We have so few surprises in life that we want to treasure this one. Lets just hope for a safe and healthy birth! Baker is very excited. Every morning he talks to "his little sister" (his father has brainwashed him). Shane would love a girl, I would love a boy (I am a girl and know what a pain I was for my mom), but regardless of what we have, we will be excited. This baby will have so much love, they won't know what to do. Please keep us in your thoughts and pray for a healthy, happy baby...just like Baker.

Imaginarium

One of their final destinations in Anchorage was the Imaginarium. What a cool place! Baker saw turtles, learned to fly a plane, made a big bubble and touched sea life! It just doesn't get any cooler than that. All in all, Baker had a wonderful time visiting his Aunt and Uncle. And, I am pretty sure they had a great time with him too! I am especially proud of my husband for capturing all these images for me. I wish I could have been there!! See you soon Chad and Gretch!

Backyard Fun

How can you not go sledding in the backyard? And, how can you not jump off the deck into fresh fluffy snow? Well, Baker can't...he had to test out both. And, as you can see, loved it all!
