It's Mothers Day and Baker received presents!

A new fishing vest just like Daddy and Papa Sheldon have

The 3.5 of us...

Erika, Nana Barb and Baker

Erika, Grandma Marion (Baker's Great Grandma), Nana Barb and Baker

Papa Sheldon, Nana Barb and Baker

Shane, Baker and Grandma Lynn

Family friends: Misty, Chris and Jen (Misty is due at the end of July with baby Olivia. Her husband, Mark, will be returning from Afghanistan the beginning of July.)

When I woke up on Mothers Day, I went downstairs to find my boys sitting on the couch. Before I got in the family room, Baker was running to me yelling "Happy Mothers Day Mommy". Then he would say, "do you know why it's Mothers Day?" And I would ask "why?" He said "because your a Mommy...silly Mommy."

It was such a great day. We went with Shane's parents and met my parents, Grandma, Aunt & Uncle and some family friends for brunch at the Portage Bay Cafe in Seattle. It was a bit of a cozy hole in the wall, but fun and great food. We had such a great time and opened presents in the parking lot :) It was great to see my family and spend Mothers Day with the people I love, especially my two favorite people! And, next Mothers Day will be even more special because I will have my three favorite people....Shane, Baker and "Baby Green."

Picaso

It's amazing what you can make with Duplo Blocks!

Working at the Car Wash

It was such a beautiful evening that I decided I had to wash the car (ok, maybe it was decided when the windshield was so filthy I couldn't see out of it). Baker wanted to help and a true little helper he was. He made sure to spray off all the bubbles and cleaned the wheels. What more could I ask for?

For Aunt Jen

Before Baker (Niephew as Jen called the baby) was born Jen made this shirt for the unknown tyke. I was trying to find some shorts for him last night and ran across it. It's now a muscle shirt, but just as cute as the first time he wore it! And as you can see, they have had a bond from day one (this picture is actually day 5) Love you Aunt Jen!
Oh, and notice the "big boy pants?" Well, Baker decided earlier this week that he was done with diapers...so the potty training begins!

New Do and New Shoes

Last night we cut Baker's hair because it was getting pretty shaggy again. We used the clippers that we use on Shane's hair and away we went. I was a little nervous because I have never seen Baker with a crew-cut nor was I convinced that I wanted him to be without his curls. But, because he is such a warm blooded little boy, we decided to cut it off. He looks so much older, but damn he's cute!

And, Daddy today bought some new work shoes. He then noticed the toddler size camo crocs, so he bought them for Baker. But, once he saw they had them in big kids too, he bought himself a pair. Now, they totally match! I sure love my boys!!

Just Like Dad

Yahoo I won!!

Playing with it alone...
Shane brought home his slot car track from his parents house (good thing our living room doesn't have furniture in it). Shane had this when he was just a little older than Baker. Was Baker impressed! He helped Dad set it up and away they went with their slot car races.

Chuckanut Bay Rugby 2008

Baker and his new friend, Jake (from the opposing team)

The winners: 25 -7
Travis and Baker

Travis (Shane's cousin) plays rugby for the Chuckanut Bay Rugby team. We went out to watch him play in the semi-finals on Saturday. Travis played so well. I would say Rugby is a cross between soccer and football. I understood parts of it, but it will take me awhile to learn it all. It was fun to see Travis play the sport that he loves and is so good at. On Sunday, CBR, went undefeated for the season crowning them as champs! We wish Travis the best as he is off to Stanford this week to play Rugby down there! Congratulations Travis!

Baker got in on the action too and found another kid to play football with. They had so much fun chasing each other for 2 hours! They kept telling one another to kick, pass and tackle. Travis was so proud! We did find out that the little ones can start rugby at age 5, and Travis will be a SR in high school! I see coaching in Travis' future and little man Rugby in Baker's :)
