This picture just cracks me up. It's like she is saying "bring it on" :) Can you see Shane's nose in this picture? Yep, it's there! But, I guess that's better than having my nose :)
Little Miss Makenzie went in for her 2 week check up. Not too much happens at this appointment. They just want to make sure that she is gaining weight, that she is eating properly and sleeping well. We got kudos on 1 out of 3! Here's how it played out:

1. Birth Weight = 7lb 15oz
Weight when leaving the hospital = 7lb 4 oz
Weight at 2 week check up = 7lb 5 oz
The doctor said that normally at the 2 week check up, the baby is back to their birth weight. Makenzie has to go back next week for another weight check. The doctor said that she is perfect, just needs to gain a little more weight - I agree!

2. Eating - Makenzie does pretty well eating, she just doesn't do it enough. She is such a relaxed baby that unless I force her to eat, she will go 5 hours without eating. I am working on getting on a schedule with her to make sure she eats enough (any tips Jeannette)?

3. Sleeping - Oh boy does this kid sleep. At night, I generally feed her about 11pm and finish (after changing her, etc) around 11:45pm. She will then sleep until about 4:30am before she wants to eat! YAHOO! But, of course she wakes up about 15 minutes before Dad's alarm goes off. I hate when that happens to me.

Overall, Makenzie is doing really well. We are so lucky to have such a good baby.
