Gabe and Makenzie

Ben, the Fire Hydrant
Baker was joined by Gabe and Jake for trick or treating this year! They went non-stop to all the houses and had a great time! Renee and I wanted to keep going, but the kids were a bit tuckered out.

Fireman Banning, Pirate Brandon, Fireman Baker, Doggy Myla, Minnie Mouse Lexie and Pumpkin Makenzie
Posed all on his own!
We had a great party at Mama Nee's house for Halloween. All of the kids dressed up, we played games and ate good food and of course took pictures. By the end Makenzie had enough and was ready to be done with the picture taking. Thanks Renee for having the party!

Pumpkin Carving

Carving pumpkins is something that we have done with Baker since his first Halloween. He loves to help hollow it out and get the "guts" out! And, Shane has always carved Baker's name in the pumpkin and some sort of picture on the front (yes, we know, not a traditional pumpkin). This year, Shane had to carve both kids names on the pumpkin (hence the large pumpkin for Makenzie's name) and had to create a meaningful picture. This artwork is Mt Baker and the McKenzie River (which Makenzie is named after).
Isn't my husband a talented artist?

Happy Birthday Old Man!

Shane's Disneyland is Boundary Bay Brewery in Bellingham so it was fitting that we celebrate his 32nd, yes 32nd! birthday there! My parents came up and his parents joined us for dinner. It was Makenzie's first outing to the pub. We had a great dinner and then came back to our house for dessert. Every birthday Shane's mom makes our favorite dessert. Shane's favorite is her lemon merainge pie. He was in heaven. But, we all know that I don't like pie, and since it is all about me, my mom brought an Oreo cookie pie (not really pie crust, it's graham crackers). So we were all happy at dessert time :) Pretty sure Shane had a great birthday! He got a new bike, a gift certificate to REI for a new bike rack for his card and 2 hand saws! What more could an old man want? Love you babe!!

Our "Little" Girl

The other day when I was getting Makenzie dressed I decided to see if she could sit up in the rocking chair by herself. She started off in the upright position and quickly started to fall over. Oh, the things Mothers do for pictures.

Later I was cleaning out the linen closet. Makenzie was hanging out with me and just laying in the bedding that I was getting rid of. When I came back out of the closet with another load, this is what I found
