Yes, I Gave In
Baker was leaving for Alaska for a month and we knew there would be some long trips in the car and 5 days on a ferry. Shane and I always said that we didn't want them playing video games or watching movies in the car because we want them to see the sights! Shane thought we should look into a DSI for Baker for his long month in Alaska. So, with a lot of himming and huffing/puffing, I finally gave in (my mom was thrilled because she likes to give the latest and greatest electronics). I headed to Best Buy and they set me up! We knew we needed to give Baker the gift early so we could show him how to use it and Whistler was coming up. Great 3 hour car ride to learn. Ya, the learning didn't take long and now I am really glad he has it....I no longer hear "are we almost there", "how much farther", "I am bored". Ah....thank you Nintendo!
Coach Shane
What is the logical thing to do when you show up for a T-Ball game and the coaches don't arrive? You try to pass the buck to another parent to be a coach but when no one takes the bait you mildly push your husband into coaching! Baker loved it - Shane did not. But, the 5 year old was happy and the team did well. Good job Coach Shane.
