Waterslides

Trying out the kiddie slide
Maximize to see Baker and Grandma more close up going down Snake
Aunt Gretchen and Baker at the top of the slides (in the middle)
Aunt Gretchen and Baker down the Corkscrew
And the Snake
Shane and I sure do miss a lot of fun when we have to work in the summer. Weekends are always so busy at various parks that we are very lucky that Grandma and Grandpa have summers off to take Baker on special excursions during the week. With Aunt Gretchen home for a few weeks before heading home, they all took Baker to the Birch Bay Waterslides. We all know that he is a fish, but didn't know how he would do. He started out small on the kiddie slide and quickly wanted to move on to the waterslides. As you can see...he had a blast!!!

Gone Fishin'

Notice the tackle box? Complete with everything he could need for furture fishing trips!

Since Uncle Chad and Aunt Gretchen couldn't be here for Baker's 3rd birthday they celebrated a bit early in the week and gave him his present. They did good and got him his own fishing pole! Baker is very impressive with his casting. He and Aunt Gretchen went to Whatcom Falls Park to try it out. Baker didn't catch any fish but had a fantastic time!

Enough Said...

"What happens at Grandma's, Stays at Grandma's"

Go Speed Racer

Baker wanted to go for a ride in Nana Barb's red car...so we strapped him into his car seat and they drove around the neighborhood. As you can see he had a blast! I think Nana Barb did too! The funniest part was when Baker said "I don't need my car seat because I am going to drive!"

Hover Disc & Hula Hooping

Uncle Karsten presenting the Hover Disc
Aunt Laura passing it back to Baker

Hover disc action with Uncle Tristan
Baker and Nana Barb hula hooping
The pro - Aunt Laura
And not a pro - Uncle Tristan
Uncle Karsten and AiLun bought Baker a Hover Disc for his birthday! Since Uncle Karsten was out from NY for Papa Sheldon's retirement party, he had to give him his gift. Well, it was a hit! I think we played with that Hover Disc in the front yard for almost 1 year. Next time Uncle Tristan will remember his shows. He often was chasing the disc down the road :) And, the day couldn't be topped off without the hula hoops! Thanks Nana Barb! And, thanks Aunt Laura for showing Uncle Tristan the proper hula methods!

4th of July

My boys....unfortunately Shane wasn't feeling well but wanted to be there;
Baker was just napping

The Clark boys: Baker (almost 3), Avery (2.5), Garrett (3 in Sept), Emmett (1 in August)
Thanks to Aunt Kay and Uncle Ron for opening the pool to the Clark family. The Maxwells, Boswells and Kellings all joined the Olsons at their house for a 4th of July BBQ. We had a great time eating, swimming and would it be a true Clark gathering without a few card games? Can't wait for next year! But, we will be back before then, you can count on it.

Especially for Aunt Gretchie and Uncle Chader

Just like Uncle Chad - up on his knees

Out for a swim
Notice Gretchen in front? The boys are way behind her....way to go Baker! Our son is a fish!
And back....

Sam and Chewedon
Baker had an extra special treat this summer when he got to spend the day at the Stiteler cabin! Baker got to go inner tubing with Aunt Gretch and Uncle Chad. He had such a blast and his motto for the day "Grandpa go faster!"
