Whistler 2008 ~ The First Days of Biking

Ah...3 bikes ready for riding...

Baker trying out a bike

A quick rest before more riding....

Aunt Gretchen turns 29 while in Whistler and opens her gag gift - Murder She Wrote the board game. Gretch is a MSW fanatic so this game was just perfect. We played it that night and it was pretty fun. Although Chad would disagree - and Shane enjoyed his nap!

Some slide time before the next bike ride

Ah...what the ob/gyn and chiropractor discouraged - sorry DR's, but I just had to ride - but only a little bit...I promise

We headed to Whistler at the end of June for our annual Kelling Family Whistler Biking trip! It was so nice to get away and enjoy the relaxation of the mountains. Shane, Chad and Gretchen spent their days in the bike park (Gretch is convinced that next year I will be joining her) while Baker got to test out a new bike that we borrowed from one of Shane's co-workers (thanks Pelzers). We knew that he really would want to ride a bike so we asked around and found one to borrow. He had a great time. He and I would drive to a local kids park that had flat trails for him to ride and Grandma/pa would ride over and meet us there. The first day, Baker took off and rode over 3 miles! By the end of the trip his little legs were getting pretty tired. We are so excited for him to have his own bike (someday) to ride around on.
