Rasar State Park

On our way

Dinner the first night

The campfire - Makenzie kept saying "bye bye smoke"

Breakfast - Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and English Muffins - not too shabby for camping

The cousins running around the campsite

Avery, Makenzie, Garrett and Baker

Makenzie and Emmett

Baker (5 in July); Garrett (5 in September); Emmett (3 in August); Avery (4 next March)...as you can see Baker and Avery are a bit larger than Garrett and Emmett. Emmett is the same size as Makenzie and trust me....she is little!

Shane's parents invested in a RV so they could travel all over in their retirement years. We whole-heartedly embraced this purchase (not that they need our approval) because we have been given permission to use it too! We decided that we needed to "christen" the new RV with a camping trip that would be somewhat close to home (in case there were any issues we weren't too far away). We chose Rasar State Park just outside of Concrete. It is a wonderful campground close to the river, has a playground for the kids and is fully paved for riding bikes. Unfortunately, Shane didn't get to join in the fun as he had school or work or something not fun. Baker and Makenzie's cousins joined us for an afternoon of biking, playing at the park, trenching thru the woods and kids just being kids. Isn't that what camping is all about? Can't wait for our next upcoming camping trips - 1 at Lake Wenatchee and the other at Deception Pass.

I love camping. I don't think we will be getting much camping in this summer - too busy. Looks like fun though!
