Rasar State Park

On our way

Dinner the first night

The campfire - Makenzie kept saying "bye bye smoke"

Breakfast - Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and English Muffins - not too shabby for camping

The cousins running around the campsite

Avery, Makenzie, Garrett and Baker

Makenzie and Emmett

Baker (5 in July); Garrett (5 in September); Emmett (3 in August); Avery (4 next March)...as you can see Baker and Avery are a bit larger than Garrett and Emmett. Emmett is the same size as Makenzie and trust me....she is little!

Shane's parents invested in a RV so they could travel all over in their retirement years. We whole-heartedly embraced this purchase (not that they need our approval) because we have been given permission to use it too! We decided that we needed to "christen" the new RV with a camping trip that would be somewhat close to home (in case there were any issues we weren't too far away). We chose Rasar State Park just outside of Concrete. It is a wonderful campground close to the river, has a playground for the kids and is fully paved for riding bikes. Unfortunately, Shane didn't get to join in the fun as he had school or work or something not fun. Baker and Makenzie's cousins joined us for an afternoon of biking, playing at the park, trenching thru the woods and kids just being kids. Isn't that what camping is all about? Can't wait for our next upcoming camping trips - 1 at Lake Wenatchee and the other at Deception Pass.

Seaside, Oregon

Seaside Aquarium

Untangling the kite strings

It didn't matter that it was cloudy and cold - Baker wouldn't stay out of the ocean

And then the Ocean got him :)

Makenzie was loving it and often said "more, more"

Trying to get some clams

A quick trip to Cannon Beach

For our new annual tradition during Memorial Day weekend, we headed to Seaside, Oregon this year. I have been there since my days in high school band! It was a fun mini-vacation and we really enjoyed the condo - right on the beach. The kids loved the ocean and the pool. We have to decided where next years Memorial Day adventure will take us.

First Day of T-Ball Season

What a difference a year makes - Baker just got right out there and joined his team this year - no apprehension this year!

Warming up with a little jog

BFF's - Katie and Baker

Baker started out the T- Ball season on a high note. He was excited and got right on there. It will be a great season.

Swinging Babe

In the mornings the kids like to be loud so why not send them outside and share their loudness with the neighborhood? Oh how we are loved! But, with smiles like this how can you stay mad for too long?

Goonie Fish

Baker was practicing his casting in the backyard. It's amazing what you can catch when you aren't expecting it.
